School Day at the K 2008

School Day at the K was a hit! Nearly 21,000 students flocked to Kauffman Stadium for the biggest weather show in the nation. And this year was our 10th anniversary. Ten years!

Kicking off the event, FOX 4's Chief Meteorologist Mike Thompson grabbed his electric guitar and played the National Anthem. Slugger was on hand too, pulling ponytails and rough housing Don Harman - and anyone else he could get in a head lock. Another crowd favorite was the landing of SKYFOX - in center field!

Another impressive addition was astronaut Clay Anderson who spent five months aboard the space station. He was decked out in a super cool blue jumpsuit and talked about his stay in space.
